Target Market Strategy

“A marketing strategy consists of specific strategies for target markets, positioning, the marketing mix, and marketing expenditure levels. It outlines how the company intends to create value for target customers in order to capture value in return.”

Acknowledging the trouble spots of our brand as well as capitalizing on some of our opportunities is the first step in developing a solid marketing strategy. In response to the weakness in brand recognition, I will push forward in initiating a solid advertising campaign that will raise brand awareness, geared more specifically to the bar folk, both men and women of the appropriate bar age. Our target audience isn’t specifically geared towards a particular ethnicity, and we hope that our foreign-inspired snacks will attract a broad range of ethnicities. To attract the male demographic, I will emphasize humor in the commercials that I plan to air online as well as television. Sexually-suggestive humor seems like the sure way to go for our advertisements, which will hopefully not only command a positive reception towards our male crowd, but will also establish brand awareness. For the women, we will advertise that our product is trans-fat and free of cholesterol, so snacking this product in the bar will not be a detriment to their healthy lifestyle.

“Marketing implementation is the process that turns marketing plans into marketing actions in order to accomplish strategic marketing objectives. Whereas marketing planning addresses the what and why of marketing activities, implementation addresses the who, where, when, and how...(Marketing Pg. 57).”

“In an increasingly connected world, people at all levels of the marketing system must work together to implement marketing strategies and plans...(Marketing Pg. 57).”

After creating a solid plan of attack, the next step is to implement this strategy and to hope that it gets you the results you want. This portion of the strategy involves keeping an eye on the budget. The sufficient hiring of a production crew is necessary to achieve the vision you want for your company, but it is also imperative to keep an eye of the costs of package production, locations to shoot the commercials, as well as the money owed for all of these services.
